We know that plastics are useful for many daily functions, but it's important to know where to draw the line. Single-use plastics account for half of all plastic pollution worldwide and are the primary polluters of our ocean waters.

Yes, plastics are useful and we understand that they will be around for a while. Our goal at Indy E.CO is to start eliminating plastics in places where we don't really need them. We can't think of a better place to start than the food service industry. About 56% of American adults eat out 2-3 times per week. The Plastic Pollution Coalition says that plastics used for take-out food containers are the primary contributor to the estimated 20 million metric tons of plastic waste produced yearly.

With this in mind, we set out to provide food vendors with a tax-deductible, greener alternative for food service containers. Changing from plastic to bagasse containers can provide big environmental relief for a relatively small cost, if any, to vendors.
